Venture into the darkness, or let the darkness venture into you? Winter maintains its tenacious grip on us all and stout reigns supreme. This pitch black... okay it isn't that serious. This is not a monster loaded with booze and roast, nor is it a ridiculous pool of melted down chocolate bars. It is decadent to be sure, but also balanced and tremendously drinkable. Deep folds of rich vanilla and luxurious cacao hide subtle notes of dark fruit that slowly give way to a mellow roast character that holds on for the entirety of a long, satisfying, finish. Simply put, it's delicious.
