The Cellar Technician will be responsible for cellar duties that primarily include duties within the three cellars of our production brewery. Racking beer from Fermenter to Brite tanks, carbonating beer to specific CO2 levels, dry hopping and fruiting beers, taking gravity checks, monitoring and manipulating tank temperatures, packaging beers into kegs and cans. The other aspect is performing various Clean-In-Place proceeds to ensure a sanitary environment for our beers to thrive in. Cellar Tech’s will be responsible for following SOP’s established for each brewery task, and performing duties in a safe and professional manner. Data entry, meticulous note taking, and thorough communication of duties performed for each task will be required, as well the ability to operate machinery that includes pumps, valves, CO2 and DO metering devices, canning line equipment, fork lift, centrifuge, dry hop cannon, and any new equipment added.

Package beer into various keg cooperage and cans of both 12 oz and 16 oz types
Dry hop and fruit beers
Perform gravity checks
Monitor & manipulate tank temperatures
Carbonate beer to specific CO2 levels
Perform various CIP tasks on Fermenters, Brite Tanks, “Droids” & various equipment
Take meticulous notes on all procedures, report to Head Cellar Tech & Head Brewer
Operate and clean all technical Cellar equipment (C-box, pH meter, DMA, etc.)
Clean driving record with no issues for a minimum of three years.
High attention to detail in regards to quality, safety, and data collection.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check
Forklift certification preferred
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a growing company
Passion for beer, enthusiastic about the process and a desire to learn
Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods
Able to read and follow written English instructions
Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, crawl, lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 55 pounds using appropriate techniques and tools
Able to safely navigate the tasting room and crowded spaces
Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
Able to move 165-pounds, using appropriate techniques and tools
Able to work in a factory/production environment which may be loud, slick, humid, cold, and hot
Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors
Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards.
